Windows and Mac version of TheVideoDiary are two separate applications, it’s not a cross-platform app! Each application is developed individually for it’s target OS and is based on unique technologies provided by the OS- that’s why they are not compatible.

1. Mac OS version is based on core Apple technologies, it stands on QuickTime for video capturing and playback, CoreData for the diary itself, the application is written in Cocoa and provides Mac feel & look.
2. Windows version is native Win application build with Microsoft DirectShow library and WMV codec. It uses most native and advanced Windows media technologies to capture and store the video.

Due to this differences this two applications don’t give you ability to migrate the diary form Win to Mac and vice versa!
License keys are different too, so you must be careful purchasing the license. You can also try the demo versions, they available for both Win and Mac TheVideoDiary.
